Hi there🖖
A few words
about who I am...
My name is Yangyang [young-young]. I am a designer, with passion in visualizing ideas 👀 and exploring the unknown 🦄.

If design is a weapon, then thinking out of the box is my bullet, optimal user experience is my target. But to fetch the weapon, I start with identifying the problem.
"Good designers never start by trying to solve the problem given to them: they start by trying to understand what the real issues are."
-- Don Norman
MY JOURNEY TO UX
I transferred from art administration to design when I was pursuing my master. These two disciplines have a lot in common: they require aesthetics, they need research, they aim at improving the quality of life. But I'm more fascinated by the mission of empowering people 🙌 applying state-of-art technology✨.

While my master program equipped me with UCD methods, the learning of museums and exhibitions gave me a keen eye on physical surroundings where the digital product would live in. I guess that's what made me a fan of IoT.
DESIGN PROCESS
I don't have a constant linear process of reaching the design solutions. So far, double-diamond process is my ideal one, which might change. But my process will certainly contains research as a huge portion in order to ask the right question and validate solutions. And there is no "end", because I believe product should keep evolving through out its lifetime.
MY PASSION
Hoping to give people a bit relieve during this intensive era, I started creating a series of illustration of an imaginary creature on Instagram (@ToriLabs) from June. Within 3 months, it surprisingly gained 4k followers.
