Hi theređź––
A few words
about who I am...
I’m Yangyang [young-young], a designer driven by a passion for bringing ideas to life 👀 and exploring uncharted possibilities 🦄. I see design as a weapon: creative thinking is the bullet, and user experience is the target. Yet every shot begins the same way—by first understanding the problem.
"Good designers never start by trying to solve the problem given to them: they start by trying to understand what the real issues are."
-- Don Norman
MY JOURNEY TO UX
During my master’s studies, I made the leap from art administration to design. Both disciplines share much in common—an emphasis on aesthetics, research, and improving the quality of life—but design captivated me with its mission to empower people through cutting-edge technology.

My program trained me in user-centered design methods, while my studies in museums and exhibitions sharpened my awareness of the physical environments where digital products exist. This perspective naturally sparked my enthusiasm for IoT.
DESIGN PROCESS
I don’t follow a fixed, linear process to reach design solutions. While the double diamond remains my ideal framework (for now), I know every project demands its own path. What remains constant is that research is at the core—guiding the right questions and validating decisions. I also believe design has no true “end,” since products should continuously evolve and adapt over their lifetime.
MY PASSION
For almost five years, I ran an illustration account (@ToriLabs),where I brought an imaginary creature to life as a way to share lightness and relief with others. The project grew to 4k followers, but I stepped back two years ago when AI-generated art flooded the platform, without safeguards for originality. That experience deepened my belief in the value of human creativity, authorship, and design integrity.
